FAUCET INSTALLATION
More Than Just Swapping the Faucet
Faucet installation looks simple — two supply lines and a mounting nut. But improper installation leads to leaks under the sink that go unnoticed until there's mold in the cabinet. Downing Plumbing installs faucets with attention to the supply valve condition, flexible supply line integrity, and proper torque on the mounting hardware — so the installation lasts and doesn't drip.
We install faucets for kitchen remodels, bathroom vanity upgrades, and single-fixture replacements. If the existing supply valves under the sink are old, corroded, or won't shut off fully, we replace those at the same time — preventing the situation where an angle stop fails during a future repair and floods the cabinet. Old homes in Northwest Indiana often have original gate valves under sinks that haven't been turned in decades; we update those to ball valves as part of the installation.
If you've already purchased a faucet, bring it home and we'll install it. If you need help selecting one, we can advise on models that fit your existing hole configuration and mounting setup.
