SEWER CAMERA INSPECTION
See What's Inside Before You Dig
A sewer camera inspection is the most accurate diagnostic tool available for
underground pipe problems. A waterproof camera on a flexible cable is fed into
your sewer line through the cleanout, and a live video feed lets us see the
interior condition of the pipe in real time. We can identify the exact location
and nature of any problem — without excavation, without guessing.
Camera inspection is valuable in many situations: diagnosing recurring sewer backups,
checking pipe condition before a home purchase, confirming the results of a rodding
or repair job, or evaluating an older sewer line for its remaining service life.
In Northwest Indiana, where many homes have clay tile sewer systems over 50 years
old, a camera inspection tells you whether you're looking at a blockage or the
beginning of structural failure.
What we look for during a camera inspection: tree root intrusion at joints, cracked
or broken pipe sections, offset or misaligned joints, bellied sections (low spots
that hold water and debris), grease or mineral buildup, and the general condition
of the pipe walls. This information tells us exactly what work — if any — is needed.
